Speaking to the Defense Credit Union Council’s Annual Conference here, Fryzel suggested credit unions can play a role in helping veterans as they enter the job force, and called on credit unions to “lead the way in the veteran job creation effort.”

“Let our motto be: Help Our Heroes, Hire a Vet,” said Fryzel. “I believe our nation’s credit unions should take the 1,000-veteran challenge. Credit unions should set a goal for themselves to hire and create jobs for 1,000 veterans.”
