Seventeen representatives from eight Georgia credit unions and the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates (GCUA) recently participated in the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the People to People Partnership here. Georgia's CU reps also participated in a symposium entitled "Focus on the Future-The Next 10 Years."
The event included a presentation of the highlights and successes of the first 10 years of the partnership and an open dialogue session led by Mike Mercer, president of Georgia Credit Union Affiliates and Grzegorz Bierecki, president of National Association of Cooperative and Savings Credit Unions (NACSCU).
The Georgians also participated in the 13th Annual General Meeting of NACSCU. Poland's 77 credit unions have more than (US) $1 billion in consumer savings.
