ATLANTA – Georgia’s Own CU announced it will be awarding $15,000 in college scholarships this year, up from $10,000 in previous years, as part of a larger initiative aimed at young people to be launched in coming weeks.
The new youth-targeted program will be known as ix. The ‘i’ in ix represents individuality, while the ‘x’ stands for the unknown variable- that part of life that is out there for the individual to define for his or herself. More information can be found at www.doyouix.com.
A total of eight scholarships will be awarded; $5,000, $3,000, $2,000 and 5 $1,000 allocations.
