TROY, N.Y. – A man who robbed Greater Miami Community FCU last month and made his escape on a bicycle was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday.

Danny Pearson, 40, walked into the credit union around noon and demanded money, before peddling away. He eventually ditched the bike and continued his escape on foot. Police said he changed clothes along the way to a relative's home to Franklin Street, where he hid for a brief time before being arrested.
The relative faces a felony obstruction of justice charge for allegedly withholding information from police as they searched for Pearson.
