LONGMONT, Colo. – In what may be considered speedy justice, a man who helped in the getaway of a robber at Elevations CU on Feb. 4 was sentenced Friday to three years in prison.
Russel Tucker, 44, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.
Tucker’s accomplice, Vincent Dufresne has been charged with robbery in the case after he allegedly bicycled to the credit union, demanded cash from the tellers, then left a trail of bills as he biked back to the getaway truck driven by Tucker.
The two were caught by police a short while later driving in the truck down Colo. Highway 66.
Dufresne told police after his arrest that he was sorry he involved Tucker and said his friend was not going to get a cut of the money, according to police.
