Group Continues To Press For Access To Secondary Capital

WASHINGTON-The Coalition for Credit Union Access, a group of credit unions that is advocating for access to supplemental capital, last week released a new infographic aimed at showing how such access would spur economic growth.

The group is pressing for passage of H.R. 719, the "Capital Access for Small Businesses and Jobs Act," which would allow NCUA to authorize supplemental capital for well-managed credit unions. "Access to supplemental capital is essential to the long-term health and sustainability of the credit union system," according to the group.
