BOSTON -
Scheduled for April 12-13 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel here, the conference is focused on one of the core driver's of a credit union's viability and success-the ability to grow membership and walletshare.
The agenda is packed with experts and real-life practitioners of business development strategies. Paul Lucas, the branding and marketing consultant and who for many years helped drive growth at 1st Advantage Credit Union in Virginia, will kick off the event. Other speakers include George Waggoner of Hanscom FCU, who will talk about how his CU implemented several ideas gleaned from an earlier Credit Union Journal conference; Pete McGuire of CUNA Mutual on how insurance can be used effectively to build lasting relationships, Bert Bryan of CU Business Capital, on how business services should mean more than lending and can be significant generators of SEGs and new membership, and Darren Williams, CEO of Wescom Credit Union, discussing his credit union's strategies. Much, much more will also be on tap at the meeting (visit www.cujournal.com for details).
A very special "Night at the Museum" is an added bonus this year. On April 11 attendees have the option of joining their peers for dinner at America's Credit Union Museum in Manchester, N.H. As noted, be sure to sign up soon, as space is limited.
