GTE FCU this week reopened its St. Charles Parish branch in Boutte, La., just southwest of New Orleans. It is in the process of opening its branch inside City Hall, but is unsure when it will open two other branches in New Orleans that were hard hit by Hurricane Katrina. Before the storm, 27 GTE FCU employees worked in the Louisiana branches. Ten of those employees have since relocated temporarily or permanently to GTE FCU headquarters in Tampa, or to other Florida locations.
