The robber apparently fled the CU about 4:50 p.m. with an undisclosed amount of money, right after police received an alarm from the credit union.

Shortly afterward a SWAT team entered the credit union and found five people — three employees and two customers — the robber ordered into the back room, police stated. No one was harmed in the robbery.

Following the event, nearby businesses, including a day care center, went into lockdown and police blocked off a portion of West Erie Avenue. Police are searching for a white or Hispanic male, about five-feet-seven inches tall, wearing all dark clothing.
