SAN ANTONIO – H E B Federal Credit Union on Tuesday said it selected Ongoing Operations to move the CU's IT infrastructure to the cloud.
The $145 million credit union has less than 40 employees – including just one internal IT employee – to serve 16,000 members. Haru Bhagat, IT manager, said many of the CU's server were at "end of life," making H E B FCU ripe for a refresh.
"We had experienced some outages with some of our existing vendors and were looking for an experienced team of IT professionals to work with us every step of the way," Bhagat said in a statement.
For its due diligence, H E B FCU started with a list of 10 vendors that was narrowed down to three finalists. After nearly a year of research, demonstrations, on-site visits and checking of references, Ongoing Operations was chosen.
Said Bhagat: "We had a great comfort level with OGO and really liked the fact that many of its employees come from credit unions and have been with OGO for a long time."
