HAR-CO Maryland FCU Awards $18,000 for Scholarships

BEL AIR, Md. – Fourteen Harford County high school seniors recently were awarded scholarships totaling $18,000 from HAR-CO Maryland FCU.

Each year, HAR-CO awards a $1,000 scholarship to one student at every high school in the county. In addition, two special scholarships are presented – one valued at $1,000 in memory of HAR-CO board member and county teacher Edward Goetz – to a student who plans to take up environmental studies.

The credit union also awards the $5,000 HAR-CO/HCC Scholarship to a student planning to attend Harford Community College.

All applicants are members of HAR-CO.
