WATERVILLE, Maine – HealthFirst FCU has hired Lynda Quirion as president and CEO of the $17-million credit union.
Quirion succeeds Debi Pomeroy, who retired on Aug. 31 after nearly 25 years as head of the credit union, chartered as Mid-Maine Medical Center FCU.
Pomeroy’s career in the credit union movement spanned more than three decades, beginning first at KSW (previously Keyes Fibre) FCU in 1980 before joining HealthFirst FCU in 1989.
The New York-based bank, which works with many Democratic campaigns, faces investor concerns that it might be targeted by the Trump administration. CEO Priscilla Sims Brown says the bank's "strong profitability" is its best shield from political threats.
