ABBEVILLE, S.C. – Greater Abbeville FCU is offering assistance to members affected by layoffs slated to occur at year-end at the Mohawk Plant in Calhoun Falls.

GAFCU will be offering to refinance loans to lower monthly payments, with 60-days no payments upon refinancing. It said it will “explore other loan options” for members seeking other employment, and will offer financial counseling through BALANCE.
“Overall, about 60 of the 200 employees are GAFCU members that will be affected by the closing of this plant,” said GAFCU CEO Faye Crocker.
