Heritage Community Credit Union is challenging credit unions across the country to donate a month's worth of surcharge fees received from non-network users of ATMs to assist with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The credit union said it will donate any surcharge fees collected from Sept. 19 through Oct. 19 to the American Red Cross.
