VANCOUVER, Wash. – A masked man brandishing a gun tried to force his way into the vault at iQ CU yesterday morning after opening, but was foiled by an alert employee.

The armed assailant ambushed the employee as he arrived to work just after 7 am, then tried to convince him to open the vault, but the employee said he didn’t have access. So the robber decided to wait in a stairwell for the arrival of a manager, but was locked out of the lobby by the alert employee.
The robber didn’t get any money.
