SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - (06/07/04) -- Santa Cruz Community CU won a$49,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco lastweek to help it finance a five-unit home for very low-incomehomeless adults with severe psychiatric disabilities. The cost ofthe project will the acquisition and rehabilitation of an existingbuilding in nearby Watsonville. Services at the facility willinclude job training, employment counseling, health and youthprograms, and financial literacy and life skills training. Thedeveloper is the Santa Cruz Community Counseling Center. The grantis one of 51 for a total of $19.3 million announced by the SanFrancisco FHLB last week.
