Derrick Wright, 33, is accused of walking into the credit union and saying, “This is a holdup,” then taking off with $4,400 cash, according to police.

On Saturday night, police said Wright was drinking out of Caldwell Vodka bottle at a downtown intersection. Officers reportedly saw him pulling the bottle from his left rear pants pocket and sipping from it around 7:30 p.m.

Initially he was placed under arrest for drinking in public, but during the booking process police discovered Wright had a white sock tied to his pants which hung down into his underwear. Inside the sock was a wad with $2,500 cash.
