How SECU Gives Members Yet Another Chance

RALEIGH, N.C.-SECU's forthcoming NSF program is aptly called "Another Chance," not "Second Chance." The CU already offers overdraft protection. In addition, each member gets two days per year to bounce checks and not be charged NSF fees, said Rick Rhoads, SVP, e-services at SECU. Yet another program in the works will waive the CU's overdraft transfer fee on two items per year.

"These programs won't help the member who perpetually bounces checks, but even for them it lowers the costs," Rhoads said. "We want to help our members when they are down, not slam them" with NSF fees.
