Hudson River Community CU Eyes New Ops Center

CORINTH, N.Y. – Hudson River Community CU plans to build a $2.8 million operations center that will employ 50 people at the former International Paper Co. site in Corinth.

The $160 million credit union will build a 16,000-square-foot, two-story building that is to be completed in the fall of 2012. Currently, employees in marketing and other operations at the credit union are housed in three different locations.

For the 20,600-member credit union this represents a return to the site where it was founded in 1952 as IPCO FCU.

The plant has closed but the credit union now serves Warren, Washington, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties, and the communities of Cohoes, Watervliet and Green Island.
