CORINTH, N.Y. – Hudson River Community CU, the credit union for International Paper Co., on Wednesday broke ground on a new operations center on the grounds of its corporate sponsor.
The $3 million, two-story, 16,000-square-foot headquarters will be built on a 10-acre portion of the IP property. The new building will house most of the credit union's operational staff.
Construction will begin this fall, with completion of the building slated for the fall of 2012. F.H. Alexander Inc., of Ballston Lake, is the general contractor.
The $160-million credit union was chartered in 1954 by a group of International Paper Co. employees in Corinth. It now has five branches.
