Speaking to The Credit Union Journals SEG& Business Development Conference, Mark Lynch, principal withEntertainment Works and an Australian native, outlined severalprograms where credit unions in that country have partnered withcommunity programs to raise their profileand help groupsthat need funds. In one program Savings & Loan Credit Union haspartnered to issue a VISA card that raises funds for a local Womens& Childrens Hospital. At Wagga Mutual Credit Union, it hasrolled out an innovative deposit account program in which a portionof the interest earned is forwarded to a local group thedepositors choice.
