MADISON, Wis. - (11/30/04) -- CUNA Mutual Group said Monday it hasinitiated a broad pilot program that will enable credit unionmembers to monitor for possible theft of their identities. Theprogram, called Identity Guard CreditProtect, will provide memberswith three credit bureau monitoring of every business day to detectsigns of identity theft; assistance in recovering from identitytheft; and up to $20,000 insurance coverage to pay related expensesif identity theft is verified. The initial pilot will involve 166credit unions and 1.5 million members.
