Dee Dee Myers, press secretary to President Bill Clinton, had these predictions for U.S politics:
* Republicans will lose seats during the 2006 mid-term elections, but not as many as some expect.
* In 2008, the Democratic candidate for president, Myers believes, will be Hillary Clinton, "who's been doing everything right, including keeping her husband under wraps."
On the Republican side, she expects to see a conservative get the nod, "and it won't be John McCain. In which case I think John McCain will run as an independent."
