ATLANTA - (08/02/04) -- VSoft Corp. and A2iA (ArtificalInteligence and Image Analysis) said they have integrated VSoft'sBranch Item Capture technology with A2iA's CheckReader to allowfinancial institutions to capture check images at the point ofpresentment in the branch. The combined technologies willautomatically read checks and deposit slip amounts, reducing thelabor-intensive balancing process in the branches. The integratedproduct will help prepare institutions for Check 21 by helping themto better monitor image quality and detect missing fields, such ascourtesy and legal amounts, signature, payee name, payeeendorsement and date.
