Investment Funds Complete Takeover of Open Solutions

GLASTONBURY, Ct. – The Carlyle Group and Providence Equity Partners announced yesterday they have completed the acquisition of Open Solutions Inc., taking the credit union outsourcer private. The two private equity funds paid $38 a share for OSI, making the total value of the deal, with the assumption of debt, $1.4 billion. As a result of the going private deal, OSI stock ceased trading on the Nasdaq yesterday and will be listed.
