DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Corporate Central CU yesterday announced it has donated $100,000 to the Iowa CU Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund after issuing a $50,000 matching grant challenge to the credit union community.

With Iowa Corporate’s challenge implemented, the Foundation already has received more than $220,000 in contributions to aid credit union members and employees affected by the flooding.
Collins Community CU has designated $50,000 for use by its members affected by the flood. In addition, the Iowa CU League donated $25,000 to the disaster fund, and Linn Area CU donated $25,000 to the Foundation to support Linn Area members.
As many as 15 other area credit unions have donated to the effort.
