Credit Unions Move To Symitar
WESTBROOK, Maine–Two more credit unions are now running the Symitar Episys core processing platform through the service bureau offered by Synergent Technology Services. Making the move were $185-million Evergreen CU in Portland, Maine, and the $124-million Ocean Communities FCU in Biddeford, Maine. GPM Credit Union, which recently merged with Evergreen CU, also completed its migration to the new platform.

4 More Convert To CU*Answers
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–CU*Answers, a CUSO with clients in 16 states, said that four more credit unions will be converting to its CU*BASE Processing System, including two new, start-up credit unions. The new clients include: Community West Credit Union, Kentwood, Mich.; Sentinel FCU, Box Elder, S.D., and start-ups The Finest FCU in Brooklyn, N.Y. and CR Community First FCU, Eagle Butte, S.D. The newest clients represent more 25,000 new members. During the past 12 months, CU*Answers said it has added 26 credit unions as CU*BASE clients.

LAS VEGAS–CU*Answers was named the winner of the CUSO Collaboration and Innovation Award from NACUSO at its annual conference here. The Award recognizes those CUSO’s that exhibit excellence and innovation in utilizing the collaborative model to bring new solutions to the credit union industry.

Open Solutions Draws A Crowd
GLASTONBURY, Conn.–Open Solutions Inc. drew nearly 1,600 people for its Annual Client Conference in Orlando. Included in that crowd were more than 110 conference sponsors and exhibitors who were part of its Solutions Expo.
The company noted that pre-conference training workshops provided intensive training on key core system modules such as lending, deposit, security, relational pricing as well as best practices.
Workshops and demonstrations of Open Solutions’ full product line were also part of the conference agenda, as was a special emphasis on its latest release of The Complete Credit Union Solution: DNA.
The 2009 Open Solutions Client Conference will be held in April 24-29, 2009, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
