E-mail Engine Attracts $1.4M Loans

HERNDON, Va.-An e-mail engine is being credited for bringing in more than $1 million in loans for Northwest Federal Credit Union over the course of just one business week.

"DigitalMailer's Automatic Relationship Builder program hit the mark with an email promotion that brought in $1.4 million in new loans in 5 days, said NWFCU's CEO.

The program allows credit unions to target members with customized email messages based on their in-market actions, needs or customer profiles, uses a certified e-mail delivery system to ensure maximum delivery rates. NWFCU said implementing DigitalMailer's program was "easy and effective."

Teres Joins Partner Program

AUSTIN, Texas-Teres Solutions, Inc., a provider of direct and indirect lending software to credit unions, has joined the Harland Financial Solutions Alliance Partner Program. As an Alliance Partner, Teres Solutions will make its SAIL indirect and direct lending software available to Harland Financial Solutions' Phoenix System and UltraData Enterprise core processing solution clients. The joint initiative will make it easier for customers of both companies to access the benefits of an integrated core system and lending automation solution that together can help them deliver greater efficiencies with indirect and direct lending processes, the companies said.

NYLX, Ellie Mae Team Up

MT. ARLINGTON, N.J.-NYLX is integrating its LoanDecisions eligibility and pricing engine with Ellie Mae's origination and management system. Users of Ellie Mae's Encompass Mortgage Management System will now be able to access NYLX-provided product and pricing. The new integration cuts out the need to go outside of the Encompass system and manually submit locks to secondary departments as the system now automatically populates the lock request form with NYLX's pricing and should increase both accuracy and efficiency for NYLX clients.

Allpoint Network Expands Search

NEW YORK-Allpoint Network announced a strategic partnership with LocatorSearch to offer members expanded location search capabilities. The two firms already had an extensive relationship as LocatorSearch powered Allpoint's website and developed GPS and send-to-phone functions for its partner.

CU*Answers Has Record Year

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-CU*Answers had a record financial year in 2008, the CUSO said, delivering $1.14 million in combined dividend/interest returns to its CU owners; over the last five years CU*Answers has returned nearly $4 million to its owners. The CUSO generated $29 million in gross sales and saw its stock value jump by 33% over the course of the year. CU*Answers was also able to reduce or freeze prices on its CU*BASE system, saving clients a total of $300,000.

In additional news, A collaborative effort between 41 credit unions to increase CU*EasyPay! enrollment resulted in an increase of 16% in electronic bill payments during the final two months of 2008 compared to the previous two months. A handful of CUs saw a jump by as much as 200%. For its participation, WySouth CU won a 9-inch Dell Mini laptop in a random drawing that capped off the enrollment contest.

Fidelity Teams Up With HP

Northern FCU Signs With Synergent
