SAN DIEGO-San Diego Metropolitan Credit Union (SDMCU) has selected TFactor's KnowledgePortal360 to create compliance and service training programs. According to the Las Vegas-based company, KnowledgePortal360 will allow SDMCU to rapidly build e-learning content, develop surveys, efficiently distribute content over a secure Internet connection, and manage e-learning and traditional classroom, instructor-led training. "We are not content to just call ourselves the City's official credit union partner, we intend to prove it through unmatched levels of service," said Linda Rossi, VP of Marketing. "But with a diverse target market and multiple branches, we have to tightly synchronize our service level training."

USERS Signs Tonawanda Valley FCU
VALLEY FORGE, Penn.-USERS Incorporated announced that Tonawanda Valley FCU of Batavia, N.Y. has signed a contract to convert to USERS' DataSafe system. USERS' DataSafe is powered by the Caché database, highly acclaimed by industry analysts for delivering exceptional speed, performance and full encryption capabilities at a fraction of the cost of competitive databases. With $47 million in assets and 14,000 members, Tonawanda Federal will convert to USERS in October.

EPL Signs Eleven Hawaiian CUs
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-EPL signed new core processing contracts this month with eleven Hawaiian credit unions. The eleven credit unions were utilizing a core processing system that could no longer meet their needs. The Hawaiian credit unions are preparing to convert to i-POWER's open architecture platform by July 4 this year, with the first one already converted as of April 15.

Entrust Starts Fraud Network
DALLAS-Entrust has unveiled the Entrust Open Fraud Intelligence Network (OFIN), a vendor-neutral network environment that it says facilitates the sharing of fraud data, tactics and behavior as experienced by leading global organizations.
The company said it has been working through the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standards body and is partnering with financial institutions and other security-conscious organizations on how fraud data and behaviors can be shared in an open manner, irrespective of what fraud detection solution is being used.
"Unlike other offerings that are focused on IP-based data as the primary method for fraud detection, OFIN provides organizations with a more effective approach by sharing patterns of behavior that can indicate fraud," it said.
