MortgageMarvel Makes Debut
MEQUON, Wis.-Mortgagebot has introduced a service it says links home buyers seeking a mortgage with lenders who want their business, including credit unions. Called MortgageMarvel (mortgagemarvel.com), Mortgagebot is describing the solution as a "revolutionary new direct-to-consumer lead-generation service for community-based lenders." It is the first and only on-line mortgage-shopping service targeted at consumer borrowers that is tightly integrated with a nationwide network of hundreds of trusted, local lenders, according to Mortgagebot. "With a single mouse-click," said CEO Scott Happ, "Mortgage Marvel can provide borrowers with fast, accurate, real-time rate and fee quotes from trusted, local lenders-but without requiring borrowers to reveal personal information."
Mortgagebot pointed to statistics from Forrester Research showing that the number of U.S. consumers shopping for mortgages online has increased by 17%, that 77% of consumers who research mortgages online are looking for rate and fee information, that 29% of online shopers say they want a user-friendly tool to compare lenders and loans-yet less than 50% of them actually found such a tool online, and that just 36% of consumers say they were satisfied with their online mortgage experience.
