Judge Sentences Last Of 'Charlie's Angels' CU<@SM>Robbers

- RIVERSIDE, Calif. (08/02/01) - Aisha Hewitt, thethird of three women credit union robbers know as Charlie's Angels,was sentenced Monday to 37 months in jail and ordered to pay morethan $8,000 in restitution to Arrowhead CU and Orange CountyTeachers FCU for her role in a robbery spree that may have hit asmany as 11 credit unions and banks last summer. The 37-month jailterm is the same meted out earlier to Hewitt's younger sisterRashida Hewitt, and a third accomplice Tenisha Norris. The threeyoung women were dubbed Charlie's Angels by the media because, likethe protagonists of the hit 1970's television show, they dressedstylishly and purported to have guns in their handbags, which theynever showed.
