K-25 FCU Gets Enriched Identity

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - K-25 FCU is shedding its original identity and being renamed Enrichment FCU to help members and potential members focus on its new community charter.

It was chartered in 1950 to serve employees of the Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion (K-25) Plant, part of the Manhattan Project. The name Enrichment was chosen to pay tribute to the original K-25 Plant mission of uranium enrichment. K-25 has more than $260 million in assets and serves more than 35,000 members.
