MADISON, Wis. Kids deposited $25.2 million into share and savings accounts as the result of the recent National Youth Savings Challenge, according to CUNA.
The trade group said the 224 credit unions participating collectively saw 117,244 youths deposit an average of $214 each. The National Youth Savings Challenge is part of National Credit Union Youth Week. It also rewarded 10 randomly drawn savers with $100 cash prizes.
