BREMERTON, Wash. – Kitsap CU announced a $100,000 pledge to Harrison Medical Center's $8 million nursing campaign, Great Nurses for a Great Community.
The gift, to be paid over the next five years, is the largest gift to date from a community organization and will go towards the hospital’s initiative to train, recruit and retain nurses.
"This campaign addresses a critical issue both locally and nationally, as hospitals around the country confront a growing nurse shortage," said Elliott Gregg, president of the $750 million credit union, in a statement.
