Kitsap CU Raises $22,000 For United Way

BREMERTON, Wash. – In a just 55 minutes, Kitsap CU employees contributed $2,200 to United Way as they duct-taped regional manager Jerry Richardson to a wall during a special fund raising event on Friday morning.

The $2,200 represented 2,200 feet of duct tape, which employees purchased at $1 a foot via the credit union's intranet during the fund-raising event.

This total was in addition to nearly $19,500 donated earlier to United Way through Kitsap’s employee payroll deduction program.

All funds raised will support the United Way’s Kitsap County partner agencies that support children, health and wellness, the elderly, and individuals with special needs.
