LOS ANGELES - (09/07/04) -- In was a chilling way to start thelong weekend, 10 members of Water and Power Community CU meltedtheir way to some easy money Friday during the credit union'ssecond annual 'Cold Hard Cash' Labor Day contest. The 10contestants melted their way through life-sized ice sculptures tocash prizes ranging from $100 to $2,000. The 150-pound sculptureswere molded to represent the credit union's loan products (car,home, boat). One credit union member, Samantha Chea of Mire Loma,won an additional $1,000 by being the first to reach the frozenprize.
