GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Lake Michigan CU plans to open a “second corporate office” in the current Rockford Construction Co. headquarters in nearby Cascade Township.

The $2.4 billion credit union will continue to occupy its current corporate office, but needs the extra administrative space, credit union officials said. Lake Michigan has added more than 200 jobs in the last two years and that has caused workplace crowding. The credit union has more than 650 employees and 200,000 members.
Rockford Construction will relocate to a former Miller Products factory in Grand Rapids, pending city and state approvals of a brownfield redevelopment tax incentive.
