SAN FRANCISCO - The Visa Business Network has created what it says is the first ever application dedicated to connect businesses on Facebook.
“Visa knows first hand that small business owners have big ideas and ambitions and that networking is a critical way their business will grow,” the card association said. “Today there are more than 80,000 small business owners already on Facebook and Forrester Research expects small-business adoption of social networking technology to grow between 20% and 33% this year.
The new Visa Business Network includes partnerships with Google, Wall Street Journal marketing, Entrepreneur, Forbes.com, Inc., Microsoft and AllBusiness providing news, commentary and tool kits to help manage their business.
In conjunction with the launch, Visa said it will award the first 20,000 U.S.-based businesses that join the Visa Business Network with a $100 Facebook Ads credit to help them reach new customers and drive new growth.
