Latino Community CU Gets $100,000 Grant for New Branch

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem Foundation this week said it will provide a grant of $100,000 to Latino Community CU in Durham to support the opening of the credit union’s Winston-Salem branch.

The credit union is renovating a downtown building for its new Winston-Salem branch, which is expected to open in May.

The credit union, which has five branches, won a $500,000 grant and a $5 million loan from the Wachovia Bank Foundation in December to help finance its expansion plans.
