Lending Excellence Awards Now Open

MADISON, Wis. - Nominations for the 8th Annual Excellence in Lending Awards, which recognizes outstanding lending results by credit unions, are now being accepted.

The awards are sponsored CUNA Mutual Group and the CUNA Lending Council and will be presented at the council's annual conference in November.

The deadline for submitting entries is Aug. 10. A new category this year has been created for excellence in business lending. Credit unions may be nominated in the following categories:

* Consumer Lending Excellence Award (assets under $250 million and assets greater than $250 million)

* Mortgage Lending Excellence Award (assets under $250 million and assets greater than $250 million)

* Low/Modest Means (any asset level)

* Business Lending (any asset level)
