For the second year in a row, Liberty Enterprises this week will present a $100,000 donation to the National Credit Union Foundation during the annual Herb Wegner Memorial Awards Dinner in Washington. The donation makes Liberty a corporate partner with the NCUF, a designation reserved for the Foundation's top supporters. The check was presented by Liberty President and CEO Stan Hollen.
In 2003 Liberty joined CUNA & Affiliates, CUNA Mutual Group and U.S. Central Credit Union as NCUF corporate partners. The NCUF is the charitable arm of the credit union movements.
Proceeds from sales of Liberty's Freedom Check series remain a key component of Liberty's support to the Foundation. Since the 1998 passage of HR 1151, the Credit Union Membership Access Act, a majority of the Freedom Checks proceeds have been directed to the NCUF.
