BOSTON -- Linsco/Private Ledger, which provides third-party broker services to 150 credit unions, announced Monday it has agreed to acquire UVEST Financial Services, the privately held Charlotte, N.C.-based provider of third-party investment services to financial institutions. The deal will create the nation's largest provider of investment service to credit unions and banks, serving more than 700 institutions. Under the terms of the deal, UVEST's management will remain in place and continue to operate out of the company's Charlotte offices. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
