MIAMI - (05/01/06) Delta Community Credit Union, whose members are as far flung as the sponsor airline's routes, hasjust nine proprietary branches. But a new tool it is using has madeit much clearer to members just how many touch-points areavailable. In conjunction with LocatorSearch, members can go onlineto identify not just those nine branches, but the more than 2,000Credit Union Service Center shared branches available to them andthe 57,000 ATMs available through the CO-OP Network. Members simplypunch in an address and identify a search radius and the softwareidentifies every branch and ATM available. Carol Sundberg,SVP-eCommerce, told The Credit Union Journal's Best Practicesconference here the new search option has helped to changeperceptions related to convenience. It has also been able to useinformation based on search options to better identify areas wheremembers may be in need of financial services, perhaps living in onearea but searching for access to DCCU in another.
