Long-Time CU Regulator ToRetire

DENVER - (10/29/04) -- David Paul, commissioner of thestate's Division of Financial Services and chief credit unionregulator for 26 years, announced his plans to retire at the end ofOctober. Paul has headed the department, which regulates Colorado's77 state chartered credit unions and its S&Ls, since 1978. FredJoseph, director of the DFI's securities division, has been namedas acting director while a permanent successor for Paul issought.
