Manager of Tiny CU Sentenced to Two Years for $500,000 Embezzlement

EUGENE, Ore. – The former manager of tiny Georgie-Pacific Toledo Employees FCU, in nearby Toledo, was sentenced yesterday to two years in prison for stealing more than $50,000.

Marcella Miller, 49, pleaded guilty in March to embezzling nearly $460,000 from the now $3 million credit union. Miller also confessed to embezzling $32,771 from the Toledo Fire and Rescue Volunteer Association and $16,311 from the Toledo High School Boosters Club.

Miller admitted to embezzling over a 10-year period after an audit of the credit union in February 2007.

Miller was also ordered to pay restitution.
