Manager Pleads Guilty To Bogus LoanScheme

CINCINNATI, Ohio - (10/22/0) -- A former assistant manager atPrinceton Employees CU pleaded guilty Wednesday to embezzling$675,000 from the tiny credit union through a phony loan scam.Janie Allen, 46, of Liberty Township, pleaded guilty to aggravatedtheft, tampering with records and forgery. Allen, who worked forthe $6 million credit union for three years, took out fictitiousloans in the names of various family members and also used acheck-kiting scheme to shift the funds around. She confessed totampering with records, changing computer data and signing otherpeoples' names to documents. She is scheduled for sentencing Jan.5.
