MARSHALL, Mich. – Marshall Community CU will sponsor the annual Pastrami Joe’s Reuben Eating Championship this year, which raised $15,000 for a local charity last year.
Participants tried to eat the most Reuben sandwiches, which consists of corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese, with a dressing, in a time limit.
Proceeds from the event go to the Fountain Clinic of Marshall, which provides medical treatment to uninsured or under-insured patients.
