LINTHICUM, Md. - (02/01/05) -- State Employees CU of Maryland, thestate's largest credit union with $1.5 billion in assets, said ithas agreed to acquire tiny White Eagle CU, a former savings andloan that converted to a credit union. White Eagle CU, based inBaltimore, which converted more than a decade ago from an S&Lserving Baltimore's Polish community, has struggled to attract newmembers. The credit union has just over $1 million inassets.
