BALTIMORE – State Employees CU is hoping to enter hundreds of the state’s high schools with a new financial literacy program being rolled out in partnership with FoolProof, a nationally known group of consumer advocates.
So far, eight high schools in Maryland have accepted the $2 billion credit union’s offer for free financial education through the web-based FoolProof program, and others plan to start in the next school year.
FoolProof comprises four components: one for young adults; one for teens, their parents and grandparents; one for continuing education for teens and young adults; and one for people of all ages. All of the components are free, interactive, and provided online so they are available 24/7.
