LANCASTER, Calif. – Two masked men jumped out of a car and assaulted and robbed a Brinks guard who was delivering two bags of cash to the Edward FCU branch yesterday afternoon.
The suspects overpowered the guard by hitting him on the head with an unknown object, according to police. Then the assailants jumped into the back seat of a getaway car, whose driver was also masked, and they sped off.
The guard was taken to the hospital for treatment, the severity of his injuries unknown last night.
The amount of cash stolen was unknown last night.
